Pool description:
The structure of this pool combines acrylic methacrylate on its 4 faces and stainless steel on the corners. The glass on the infinity side of the pool is cut at a slight inclination, almost imperceptible to the eye, to create an effect of overflowing the water without splashing.
The overflowing water is collected in the compensating tank, which in the case of this pool, has been seen. It is common for the compensating tank not to be seen, but if space allows it, leaving the compensating tank visible gives the entire pool more space.
This pool is also equipped with red and blue LED lights with different color sequence options, both inside the pool itself and in the overflowing water collection tank. An “extra” that at night turns this space into a luxurious and spectacular environment.
Pool installation:
The construction of the pool structure was carried out at our facilities in Barcelona and later moved to Madrid. We do this to minimize the impact of worker presence time at customer facilities.
The hydraulic installation of the pool, in this case, was done on the site because the machine room is not integrated into the pool itself but is in a separate room.
How do infinity pools work?
In infinity pools, the water continually overflows from one or more of the edges, achieving the optical effect in which the water line blends with the horizon. For this, it is essential that the pool water remains in the same conditions always.
To achieve this effect, one or more of the overflowing walls of the pool must coincide exactly with the water level, so these pools are always overflowing. The overflowing water falls into a reservoir just below the outlet edge from where it passes into the filter and is pumped back into the pool.
Advantages of acrylic methacrylate pools:
1) Flexibility: it absorbs very well the pressure changes that occur in the pool due to the movement of the water when swimming in it.
2) Weight: it weighs 4 times less than glass, which is an advantage that is very valuable, especially for pools in attics, rooftops or terraces.
3) Resistance: Acrylic panels do not break or crack like glass and offer 11 times more resistance to impact.
4) Layers: While the glass used in swimming pools is made up of several sheets of glass joined together, the acrylic panel does not have layers, but is manufactured to measure, with the desired thickness.
5) Repairs: What happens if a pool shell is scratched or worn? Unfortunately, glass is a very difficult material to polish, unlike acrylic panels, which polish easily even when placed in the pool.
6) Transparency: Many types of glass for swimming pools tend to yellow and distort the image. This is not the case with the acrylic panel for swimming pools, which offers up to 92% light transmission, excellent luminosity and a distortion-free vision, certainly much better than glass.
